Hello, nice to meet you. Please sit down, grab yourself a cup of your favourite beverage and a cookie or two.
My name is Bee, and after many years of struggling with my mental health, I left my job in March 2018. While finding a new destination for my life, self-care became more and more important to me. I realised that I am not alone in my quest to better wellbeing. So I developed a blog event on my other blog “The Bee Writes…” called “Music Monday Care & Love” where we explore different ways of self-care and self-love.
We live in extraordinary times. The world is changing rapidly not only politically but also environmentally. Our work lives get more stressful by the day, and the people around us seem to suffer more and more from anxiety and other mental health issues. All this has an effect on us. It drains our energy and leaves us exhausted. That is why self-care is more important than ever, and you should become a self-care ninja.
When it comes to self-care many of us think of all-day visits to a spa or expensive shower gels or oils to pamper ourselves. But self-care does not necessarily need to be expensive nor does it only have to address our physical needs. There are little daily habits you can easily incorporate into your life which will improve your wellbeing enormously.
And I am going to share my idea's and experiences here on the "The Bee Creates ~ Self-Care Blog". This is all work in process at the moment. All I can promise you is that you will find easy to do and non-expensive self-care ideas, book reviews and recipes. I aim for a post a week and a newsletter with extras on a non-regular basis. We are bombarded with so much information that I feel for a self-care blog less is more.
So, what do you think? Would you like to come on a self-care journey with me? I'd be delighted to explore with you!
And to get you started I leave you with a video from "How To Adult" on YouTube that gives you some ideas about self-care in general!
I am not a health professional. My posts describe my thoughts, my experiences and my conclusions about life, mental health and self-improvement. My described actions always go alongside therapy and do not substitute professional advice by a health professional be it a doctor, therapist or counsellor.
I invite you to try out self-care tools, however, if any of these make you feel uncomfortable please stop and do not go further ahead. Also, if any of the tools suggested bring up issues that need dealing with do not hesitate to reach out for professional help. To recognise when you need to stop and when to reach out for professional or any other help is one important part to learn when it comes to self-care.

You are more into photography? Please find my photo posts for Wordless Wednesday on Bee Wordless... on Blogger. Thanks!
Just one more thing before you go: The hospital that is treating me for cancer is fundraising for a dedicated breast cancer unit which would allow same-day diagnosis and better premises for patients and staff.
Please, if you can spare a little money hop over to their Just Giving Page and give as little or much as you can. Or share the page on your social media. Your support means a lot to me! Thank you very much.
