Hello out there, dear readers, how are you faring? I very much hope you and yours are well. It seems ironic that these virtual tea-coffee-cocoa-parties have gone viral in these strange new times. In some respect, bloggers have an advantage, as they usually already have a virtual community which makes it easier not to feel alone, when having to stay at home.
If we were having our favourite hot beverage together, both of us might be wondering what day it is. You tend to lose track of the days when you have to stay home. Linda over at "Life in Progress" was so kind to create a blog event, that helps us share our experiences. It is called: "What Day Is It Anyway", and she invites us to keep in touch in the comments of her posts or create our own.
She writes about it:
Why I’m writing this post:
Because if you’re like me and stuck at home already, or if you’re going to be like me soon, the days of the week are going to be hell to keep track of. We have a wonderful community here on WordPress and all over the Internet as well, and I’m sure many people are feeling nervous and/or isolated. I want to make sure every one of us has somewhere to congregate and someone to talk to.
I want everyone to know that you can start discussions with each other in the comments, and if you’d like to write your own “What Day is it Anyway?” post, you can link to this one. Hashtag #WDIIA.
Let’s keep in touch!
And I can only encourage you to take her up on the offer ? . Here is her post from Friday.
If we were having our favourite hot beverage together, I would apologise for my attire. Getting dressed is still a little exhausting as I recover from my breast cancer operation. I can't wear a bra as it touches the wounds and hurts, so I keep to the dressing gown every two days. It doesn't feel right to do it every day as it makes me feel more depressed, but I can cut myself some slack in these strange days. If we were having our favourite hot beverage together, I would ask you if you can/have to stay at home. How do you deal with the dressing situation?
If we were having our favourite hot beverage together, I would let you know that it feels strange that my operation was more than a week ago. I had my blog posts scheduled up to Thursday. That means they didn't fully reflect the latest changes in society. But I had the chance to adjust some via the Wordpress app on my phone. Only for Blogger and Weebly did I need to bring out the laptop.
My current problem is I am not supposed to do any repetitive movements with the affected arm. So instead of using ten fingers to type, I use one. It's cumbersome. But blogging and writing positive posts keeps me sane, so I keep exercising that right index finger.

If we were having our favourite hot beverage together, you might ask what I was blogging about. "I am glad you ask" I would answer. I managed to keep my "Dear cancer, you are messing with the wrong bitch" project going. It's called "Come Away With Me" and visits all countries of this beautiful planet to find a musician that we haven't heard of yet. Find out more here and last week's post here.
If we were having our favourite hot beverage together, I would make sure your cup is re-filled, and you get a cookie or brownie. Or would you prefer some fruit? I basically cut out refined sugar from my food. It's substituted with honey, maple syrup or dates. Biscuits made with honey are just not the same, so I just go for fruit. On Tuesday's good news stories I introduced you to a company called Loop. They are offering grocery shopping in reusable containers. That sounded like a great idea, but Jamie from “My Imperfect Zero Waste Life.” reviewed them and found some niggles. They are still worth trying out. Find the post here.
If we were having our favourite hot beverage together, I would let you know that my " Wordless Wednesday post" was one of those I adjusted to the new situation. Thursday's though, I left as it was. That was the day I discovered Linda's "What Day Is It Anyway". My first post went up on Friday (We Can Do It But What Day Is It Anyway? (27.3.2020 just so you know)" and the second on Saturday (We Can Do It But What Day Is It Anyway? Climate Edition, 28.3.2020).
I want to keep everybody's mood up, so I add a motivational quote, something to laugh and some music. Oh, and some learning resources for free. Just in case you like to use your free time.

If we were having our favourite hot beverage together, I would have to be a little rude and ask you to please go now. My arm and breast start hurting as I can't take all prescribed painkillers. My stomach can't bear the more powerful ones. So laying down regularly helps to relieve the pain. I hope you can bear with me. I am sure I'll be better next week.
So all that's left is to say good-bye and thanks for spending a little time with me. I appreciate it and hope to see you next weekend again. Stay safe, stay kind and leave some of your blog posts in the comments so I can visit you. Happy Sunday, despite everything!
One last hing before you go: Good deed of the week

Please stay a little longer and discover music and good news on The Bee Writes... at Wordpress.
You are more into photography? Please find my photo posts for Wordless Wednesday on Bee Wordless... on Blogger. Thanks!
Just one more thing before you go: The hospital that is treating me for cancer is fundraising for a dedicated breast cancer unit which would allow same-day diagnosis and better premises for patients and staff.
Please, if you can spare a little money hop over to their Just Giving Page and give as little or much as you can. Or share the page on your social media. Your support means a lot to me! Thank you very much.
