Hello, out there all you lovely people. How are you today? I hope life is treating you well and if not, feel the love coming your way. I send it to you!!!!
If we were having our favourite hot beverage together, I would look at you and roll my eyes. No, not at you, of course, but at my scattered brain. Apparently, I wrote this post last year in August:
"Is it just or is anyone else out there trying to do a ton of stuff and can't get anywhere?
Well, I am sure I do get somewhere, but my scattered mind never seems to see the results just what I haven't managed to do. So today I am going to concentrate on what I have achieved, and not what I still need to do.
What about you? Do you only seem to see your to-do-list and not what's already ticket off? And does it bother you?"
This video might not fully fit my question but it's really entertaining.
And for the record the video credit is:
TEDx Talks via YouTube
I quite like the post and the video, however, never posted it. I just forgot everything about it. When I came back today to do some of my blogging here, I found it and just shook my head.
If we were having our favourite hot beverage together, I would make sure you have a fill-up and sit comfortably. Then I would tell you that I would like to use this space for some diary-style posts but am worried I am not keeping them up.
Over the last decade, I have started and stopped several blogs, and I feel like I am not capable of keeping things going. But then I would remember that I am determined to change my story. I am not quite sure where I got that idea from. Maybe from one of those motivational TED talks.
The thing is whenever I start worrying about anything, I am not able to do, I think to myself: That's my past story. I am now changing it and start something new. Yes, you are right, it doesn't always make the worry go away, but mostly it makes me concentrate on what I want to do not what I don't want to do.
If we were having our favourite hot beverage together, I would hope you told me: You can do it! And if you would, I would smile. Then I would ask if there is anything you struggle with. Maybe you would tell me, and I would listen. I'd offer you a brownie or cookie and ask some questions, so I really understand what your problem is. And when you would finish, I would lean back in my seat and let you know that I believe in you. We can do it!!!!
If we were having our favourite hot beverage together, we would sit in silence for a while and watch the sky through the front room window. Maybe you'd ask what else I want to write about. I'd let you know that my family and I try to become more climate-friendly and have changed a lot of our habits over the last couple of years. I would let you know that self-care is still a big topic for me. You might remember that I started this blog with self-care ideas two years ago.
I also pondered to put my book reviews on here as The Bee Writes on Wordpress is more for music and climate topics in general. There is also Bee Wordless on Blogger, which is for photography and Bee Poetic & Writing on Tumblr is for poetry. I would ask you what you think of having this network of blogs over several blogging platforms. Do you think that's a good idea?
"It's getting late" you'd say and get up, "I think about it and tell you next time". "OK!" I'd answer and give you a hug before you'd get out of the door. "Take care" I'd call after you, and you'd turn and would give a wave. Smiling I'd close the door and would be looking forward to having our favourite hot beverage together next time.
Please stay a little longer and discover music and good news on The Bee Writes... at Wordpress. You are more into photography? Please find my photo posts for Wordless Wednesday on Bee Wordless... on Blogger. Thanks!
Just one more thing before you go: The hospital that is treating me for cancer is fundraising for a dedicated breast cancer unit which would allow same-day diagnosis and better premises for patients and staff.
Please, if you can spare a little money hop over to their Just Giving Page and give as little or much as you can. Or share the page on your social media. Your support means a lot to me! Thank you very much.
