Hello, out there all you lovely people. I am sending you a hug just because!
These are troubled times: a pandemic, social injustices, climate crisis, and not to mention all our private struggles that keep us up at night. How do we cope?
My strategies have been developed over three or four decades, and they still serve me well: music like Wiyaala's "Woyaya" inspired by Osibisa's famous song, writing (either blogposts, poetry or diary), talking to family & friends, reading and baking or cooking. And, of course, a cup of tea. Holy moly gardening too. I didn't realise there are so many strategies to work with!
Unfortunately, the emotions connected with traumatising experiences like these need to be felt and lived through. It's ok to cry. It's ok to be angry. It is also ok to be strong. We are all different and react differently. As long as we can channel difficult energies into something positive and creative and not let the violent people and urges win. It doesn't always work, I know. But with every new day, we can start anew and find a way to leave this planet a better place than before.

forgive our ignorance.
We are all stardust.
